Amazing how fast time flies

I have always laughed when grown ups state that when you have kids your life is in warp speed and boy isn't that true. McKenna is getting so big. Her vocabulary is amazing, she is so smart and asks daily when she can go to school. I am in the process of trying to find a job, mainly for the opportunity for McKenna to have some activities and be in preschool just for the social aspect. She is so bored at home. I know she would love daycare or preschool.
Another thing at our house that has changed recently is our diets and activity levels. I want my family to be active and enjoy life and the way we were living wasn't going to offer that to us. I try to go to the gym 5 days a week and I am doing a weight loss class at a local gym.
Jon is currently working for KeyOn which is satellite internet. There are days that are rough but for the most part he loves it. We moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to my family and daily I am thankful for the sacrifice he makes for our family so I can ne here. We are still trying for another baby bit due to Jon's lay off we haven't had insurance since June. We are getting it starting on the 1st . I hope to post more and keep a record of my life, although lame and mundane at times its our life and I am so thankful for those who I share it with.

Back to normal?

Possibly and surely hopefully.
My eating good totally tanked this weekend due to never being home, what I learned from it. . . PACK MY OWN FOOD!!
Didn't get to the gym, what I learned . . .GO NO MATTER WHAT! I will feel better.
I feel like a bomb has exploded at my house but I am catching up. Trying to figure some kind of schedule everyday so that I can keep up on it instead of letting it get this way.
This week I am back to watching kids like normal, the sisters I have been watching were dealing with a bug at their house as was the other girl I watch. I am thankful it didn't spread to our place cause that is the last thing I want or need right now.
Jon's little sister came up for wedding planning and we got so much accomplished. Can't wait to see it all come together!

OH YEAH . . . .DRUM ROLL. . .
WE DON'T HAVE BINKIES ANY MORE!!!!! YAY FOR US! I know there is a stash somewhere and my goal is to find that and destroy it!

Its been awhile, big shock!

So our holidays were wonderful. We spent time up in Idaho which is always fun, Jon's mom got married, and just spent time together which was honestly my favorite part. I do want to share a couple things we have been going through. As some of you know we have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now, with no success I have decided that I need to get back into shape and concentrate on myself and my health. To do so I have started watching what I eat, being more active, and trying to get more rest. I feel better already. Haven't seen much changes but we are hoping that me concentrating on me will help keep my mind off of my stress and discouragement of not getting pregnant. I have started a blog to talk about my journey, it is http://myjourneytoahealthyme.blogspot.com
please feel free to follow, share encouragement when I get discouraged. help me on this journey cause I surely can't do it alone! Please don't tear me down on rough days I am just starting and to me that is a HUGE step in and of itself.

Update

So tests came back. The good news is they showed no major problems. Or problems at all for that matter. However that was also the bad news. Although my tests showed nothing wrong the things happening for sure are not normal. I went to the temple and felt a very strong inclination not to take the medication that was prescribed to me. I talked to Jon about it and he stated that it worried him but he trusted me. So we are taking every day as it comes. Being thankful for the days together. Really the more I think about it I really feel as though the problems I am facing are due to two things; my weight and my anxiety. I have to get myself healthy. Not for me but for my amazing husband and wonderful daughter.

Big shock

Its been almost a month since I have written but really for those who read this it shouldn't be a surprise. Things around our house have been less then normal. We have been dealing with some medical issues we are hoping we get answers to this week. I have 3 appointments this week and we are praying for some kind of answer. I have recently been having problems eating/keeping anything down, always burning up(poor Jon freezes at night), head aches, dizziness, lightheaded, just lots of things that are kind of making me feel like a bad mom and wife. My house can't stay clean to save my life, laundry is piled up everywhere downstairs, our bed hasn't been made in weeks, all minor but frustrating none the less.

On a brighter note I have an amazing husband that no matter what kind of day it has been or how down I am can make me smile and feel amazing. I have a daughter that just wants her mommy and daddy to laugh at her. She is so silly. I have a beautiful home that although messy keeps us safe and warm. My husband has a wonderful job in these times which is such a blessing right now. I have a calling that I love and has helped my testimony grow in ways I didn't know would happen. Life is good. Medical issues don't last eternity and I have the knowledge of being with my family forever. What more could I really ask for!?

How on earth. . .

Does this. . . .
Do this to my child

Totally crazy to me. I tried and tried to get her attention for a snack this afternoon and this was the response I got. P.S. The flash from the camera finally got her attention.

Do YOU let your 2 year old watch television????

A look in our lives

My photo
Our lives started together in 2006, shortly after we found out giggles, hugs, and diapers would fill our lives, we added little M in August '07. Jon is balancing life taking care of his girls, school, and work. Melissa stays at home with little M and loves being a mom and wife. Since then I have gained over a hundred pounds. I am sick of the restrictions it gives me. I am tired of feeling groggy and miserable. I am starting over. Starting a new and teaching my family the joys of healthy living!
