We have a new address!!

Crazy I know, we have lived with Jon's mom for the passed year and are so thankful for her opening her home to us but it is time for us to be on our own. We found a town home in Bountiful and love it so far. We haven't unpacked but I will totally post pictures when we do for those of you who I know would love to see it.

Together Forever

So I really need to figure out how to rotate pictures on here. This weekend I was lucky enough to be able to see two very good friends get sealed together forever. Congrats you guys! Thanks for sharing your special day with me. My friend Rachel took this picture of the temple and I loved it so I thought I would share it.

Who will it be?

I found this fun idea on my friend's blog and thought it was a GREAT idea!! So be one of the first three people to comment on this and I will make you something- my choice!

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:1. I make NO guarantees that you will LIKE what I make! (I can only hope)2. What I create will be just for you.3. It WILL be done this year.4. You have no CLUE what it’s going to be … it may be cards, a bookmark, something delicious or a complete surprise to you (and me!) … who knows?5. Most importantly, you MUST offer the same deal on your blog - the first 3 people to comment on your blog get something made by YOU! (you may surprise even yourself how creative you can be when the pressure is on)

Jessie's dinner

On March 14th our friend Jessie Peterson went through the Rexburg temple to get her endowments taken out. Unfortunetly I was not able to make it but I did go "help" at the Scheller's home to make dinner for everyone who did attend the session. Here are some photos from James' and Ashley's house. Both Ashley and Jessie are pregnant so I got the "belly shot" of the two. Congrats Jessie!!!

Our weekend with Daddy!

Jon came up this weekend and it was much needed! I didn't realize how much we missed him until he went to leave and I started crying like a little baby. McKenna is walking around the house now asking for Daddy and that is just making me more sad. This will be a very long week and hopefully that will be when we are able to go home. He just makes McKenna and I so happy and I slept better the passed two nights with him by my side. On Friday when we picked him up he insisted we went to Jack In the Box so he could have his tacos (yuck) then we went to the Museum of Idaho to a Titanic exhibit that they just put up. McKenna did well and loved the "iceberg" that they had at the very end. She couldn't take her eyes off it. That night we went to dinner with my parents. After dinner we went out to my friends house that is working on our car and talked with them for a little while and came home and went to bed. Saturday we were going to go pet bear cubs but decided it wasn't worth the 15 dollars so we ended up staying in Idaho Falls. Jon and I just hung out around the house, went and hung out with my sister Sydni for awhile and then we came home and had Chili Verde for dinner made by my dad. Today we lounged around and left for church. Took Dad to the bus stop and are now just relaxing around the house. We sure miss Daddy but I think it has helped us value our time with him even more.

McKenna's Haircut

So I woke up yesterday to a runny nose baby who had been sweating during the night and had disgusting hair and I decided that was it. So we got ready for the day and went and got her hair cut!!! Nothing to noticable just some bangs. The lady that cut it was amazed at how her hair had grown into natural layers on its own so that didn't take much to fix. McKenna did amazing as soon as I put her on my lap. She is growing up so much and I love every minute of it!

My gift

Before Valentines Day we were at Wal-Mart and I was looking at cameras because for the passed year we haven't had one and it always bums me out when something happens and I haven't been able to capture it, like McKenna's first steps, our anniversary, christmas, thanksgiving, ya know the random things, but this time Jon told me that he got to pick it out but I could claim it was a gift to me. I was ok with that as long as I had a camera. So he got me a Fuji Finepix S1000. It means nothing to me but Jon loves it and so do I! Here are some random pics we took of McKenna the weekend we got it.

No doubt she is our little girly girl

i can just hear her say "like this dad?"

Our Valentines Weekend

On the 13th Jon got the two of us tickets to Monster Jam at Energy Solutions Arena. I took McKenna to the sitter around 5 and went to pick up Jon from work. We rushed and had dinner at Applebee's which was delicious! Then we booked it downtown to the show, well once we got down to our amazing seats that Jon got I started getting very sick, to the point we had to leave. We went and rented a movie and ended up just relaxing in bed which was very much needed! We decided that we would wait til we came to Idaho and celebrate that weekend so that is what we did. Jon got us a room at the Le Ritz which is where we stayed on our wedding night. We went and had dinner at Olive Garden, then went and bought a movie to watch in our hotel room. It was nice to be able to spend time with Jon alone and just relax. Once we got to our room there was a boquet of flowers that Jon had planned to be there when we got there. He is so thoughtful and sweet. Here is a picture from our room and the flowers that were waiting, thanks babe for a great weekend!

McKenna's bedroom

I know this is old old information but for those of you who do not know. . . last summer I got this random nitch to learn how to sew and to do something creative for McKenna's room. It was fun and with the help of friends and family I am totally THRILLED as to how it turned out. Here are some pictures of what we did. . .

Jon did this lamp, it was his "project" He is so talented. (sorry I can't figure how to make it right side up)

Curtains my friend Ashli and I made for one of the windows.

I found these frames at the dollar store and loved how well they matched!

These are the letters I made, I am still not happy how they turned out though, if you have any ideas how to make them better please let me know.

I didn't take any pics of the bedskirt and quilt that Grandma Jeri made, once I get home I will post them though. They totally pull the room together!

Tadd's Horses

Our first weekend here in Idaho a family friend was working out his horses like he does every Saturday so we took the opportunity to go look at how gorgeous they were and show McKenna the horses. She wasn't sure about them but it was fun to look at them. Here are some pictures.

We were trying to get a picture of her and I but she couldn't take her eyes off the horses.
It is an eight horse team but you can only see six of them here.

A look in our lives

My photo
Our lives started together in 2006, shortly after we found out giggles, hugs, and diapers would fill our lives, we added little M in August '07. Jon is balancing life taking care of his girls, school, and work. Melissa stays at home with little M and loves being a mom and wife. Since then I have gained over a hundred pounds. I am sick of the restrictions it gives me. I am tired of feeling groggy and miserable. I am starting over. Starting a new and teaching my family the joys of healthy living!
