How on earth. . .

Does this. . . .
Do this to my child

Totally crazy to me. I tried and tried to get her attention for a snack this afternoon and this was the response I got. P.S. The flash from the camera finally got her attention.

Do YOU let your 2 year old watch television????

Elephants on Parade!!

The other day my friend Suzi called to tell me about an elephant parade at The Gateway Mall. We had nothing planned that day so I figured why not!! It was AWESOME, well for a 2 year old I guess. I had fun to, I won't lie.

Waiting patiently

Local News Guy
These made McKenna squeal, she LOVES balloons.

After the parade we went and fought the masses at the food court and ate some Panda Express, it had been awhile and was TOTALLY worth it! After lunch we walked around until I was bored and realized that Discovery Gateway was pay full price for one and get the second person free. McKenna had a BLAST we spent 4 hours there and she still didn't want to go. We left and had a quick dinner with Jon before he had class, after which I wasn't ready to go home so we went to Temple Square and had a relaxing evening just the two of us. We even got to listen to the Tabernacle Choir practice. McKenna OF COURSE had to help lead. I love my little girl and am so excited for our new weekly outtings. Next week. . . TreeHouse Museum!!!
A perfect ending to a perfect day!!!

An Empty September

Things have been pretty slow in our house lately. We were supposed to go out of town but due to a mandatory maintenance weekend it ended up being McKenna and I heading up a couple of days early! We were able to get together with Matt and Jessie and cute baby Brooklyn which made our trip even better. Jessie and I took Brooklyn up to get her ears pierced, she did great! Our weekend ended much to fast as they usually do but we were ready to be back with Jon.

The real reason I went to Spud Day!!
A bow I made, that I am WAY proud ofMy princess and I!
Matt doing what he does best!Brooklyn's cute earrings.

McKenna of course LOVED the parade. Every time candy was thrown she would squeal and run towards the road. I have decided parades hinder our teaching as parents yelling and teaching them not to run in the road then finally telling them to run and get candy thrown by strangers. . . .Just a random thought I had. I wish I had video of her squealing it was great!!!

I always say I will try to get better at this being updated but always epically fail so I am not making any promises!!!

I love my little helper!

Tonight we are having a "P Party" for Young Women's so I decided to make Peanut Butter Bars as a treat. My goal was to get them done during nap time but today during nap time I may or may not have dozed off a bit. So when my little McKenna woke up we worked together. Sorry Jon, I introduced her to raw cookie dough and needless to say she is like her mother and LOVED it!
Here we are all clean and ready to mix! This is good eats mom!Straight peanut butter. . . New experience for her(don't mind the messy kitchen!)This is how her face looked after the spatula and peanut butter. Man I sure love my new little helper. She kept asking for more and helping mix. She sure is a sweet heart.

A look in our lives

My photo
Our lives started together in 2006, shortly after we found out giggles, hugs, and diapers would fill our lives, we added little M in August '07. Jon is balancing life taking care of his girls, school, and work. Melissa stays at home with little M and loves being a mom and wife. Since then I have gained over a hundred pounds. I am sick of the restrictions it gives me. I am tired of feeling groggy and miserable. I am starting over. Starting a new and teaching my family the joys of healthy living!
